Ever Eat in the Car?

If I find myself eating a meal in the car, I know I’ve probably done something wrong in terms of planning my food for the day. I probably left myself too little time to eat before I left the house, or I left myself so ravenous that I couldn’t even wait until I got home to eat.

To avoid this, plan your meals ahead of time. This allows you to know when you’re eating and plan meals that you know will satiate you.

Pack snacks that are high in protein! Protein is the macronutrient that takes the longest to digest, and thus keeps you fuller for longer. Packing high-protein snacks in case you do get extremely hungry will help hold you over if you’re not home yet.

Wake up a few minutes earlier: This might seem like it doesn’t connect, however if you find yourself eating on the way to work, it’s probably because you didn’t leave yourself enough time in the morning to eat before leaving!

Eating in the car doesn’t feel good to me. If it feels good to you, then great, but there’s nothing better than sitting down and enjoying a meal. It allows you to be present and eat your food slower.
